COURSE OVERVIEW

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a topic that captures students’ interest, but many are unaware of the important role mathematics and data skills play in its development.

Our Introduction to the Maths of AI webinar introduces teachers to some of the key mathematical and statistical ideas that underpin machine learning and AI, showing how these connect to content from A level Mathematics and A level Further Mathematics.

Through a range of accessible examples, the webinar will explore how data analysis, modelling and mathematical reasoning are used in AI and highlight opportunities to link these ideas to the A level curriculum. It is designed for teachers who want to build their confidence in discussing the mathematical foundations of AI and help students see the relevance of their studies in a real-world context. An optional 30-minute question and answer session will follow the webinar.
