Core Maths helps students build the mathematical and problem-solving skills they need for higher education, employment and everyday life. This webinar will support you in communicating the value of studying the course and encourage more students to take it up.
Our Growing Your Core Maths Numbers webinar will explore ways schools and colleges can attract more students onto their Core Maths course. You will see effective approaches to recruitment, including open evenings, taster sessions, and building links with other subjects. The webinar also draws on recent research to help you make a stronger case for Core Maths to students, parents and colleagues.
You will hear examples from schools and colleges that have successfully increased their Core Maths numbers, and have the chance to discuss your own context with other teachers.
By the end of the session, you will have a range of ideas, activities and resources to support recruitment, including knowledge of the Core Maths Premium incentive and our Core Maths Platform.

All teachers are eligible for a free place on this course. Priority will be given to teachers in state-funded schools and colleges in England.

All current teachers of Core Maths, heads of mathematics departments and heads of sixth forms will benefit from attending the session.
