How the AMSP can help to inspire your students

Thursday 9th December 2021

Enrichment is a significant aspect of the work of the AMSP. We feel that it's vital to inspire students to want to continue to study maths beyond GCSE.

Our annual Maths Feast competitions take place each spring and are now open for bookings. These popular events are a fun educational challenge for Year 10 students which test their problem-solving and teamwork skills. Teams of four students test their maths skills with our all-you-can-eat feast of problems! Local Maths Feasts will be taking place in the North West region and we'll also be running National Online Maths Feasts, should you wish to join in from your classroom.

We also offer national online enrichment events, such as Space!, Maths is everywhere, and Which Career? - Meet people working in different roles. Keep an eye on our 'Inspiring your 11-16 maths students' webpage throughout the year for more of these events!

Finally, we also provide local enrichment support for state-funded schools and colleges. This includes large enrichment events and bespoke events for individual schools and colleges. Please contact your local Area Coordinator for more information on what's available to you locally.
