Teachers are invited to sign up to one of 10 new Core Maths Conferences, taking place across the country. These one-day events are aimed at teachers who have some experience with Core Maths, but want to further develop their teaching.
The AMSP has designed Core Maths Conferences around past teacher feedback. All events now offer sessions in:
- planning sequences of Core Maths lessons
- making connections between Realistic Maths Education and Core Maths
- getting the most out of pre-release materials
- recruiting students to Core Maths
A variety of other helpful topics are also offered, and the conferences give teachers the opportunity to network and share ideas. There’s more information on our Core Maths regional conferences page.
Through government funding, the AMSP is able to offer Core Maths Conferences for free to state-funded schools and colleges. An additional subsidy of £200 is available for teachers in Priority Areas. To learn more, visit our subsidies page.
Area Coordinators also run Core Maths days, designed to respond to the specific needs of their area. These are open to teachers irrespective of their Core Maths experience. Details of all of our Core Maths events can be found in our events calendar.
