Reserve a table at your local Maths Feast

Friday 14th January 2022

Are your Year 10 students hungry to work on their maths, teamwork, and problem-solving skills? We’re serving an all-you-can-eat feast of maths problems at our popular Maths Feasts which are running across the country starting in February!

Each round requires different skills and strategies for success and will feature both recreational and more traditional maths problems, all familiar or accessible to most Year 10 students. If you'd like to sample the menu, you can explore materials from previous Maths Feasts on our website – perfect to whet your students' appetite!

We've received excellent feedback from previous Feasters, including:

  • "The best round was the relay. I enjoyed the pace and structure of it!"
  • "All the rounds were enjoyable and challenging."
  • "All our students very much enjoyed working in teams and the competitive atmosphere."

We're currently planning to run our Maths Feasts as face-to-face events in the spring term. However, we're monitoring the situation and if guidelines change, events may need to be cancelled. We'll give you as much notice as possible in the event of a cancellation and let you know of any online alternatives that are arranged.

We're also running Live Online Maths Feasts as an alternative to our face-to-face Feasts, which will enable your team to attend remotely 'alongside' other schools in your local area. Our Live Online Maths Feasts will use the same material as the face-to-face Feasts, so your students won't gain additional benefit from attending both types of Maths Feast.

Our Maths Feasts are free to attend. Schools and colleges located within Priority Areas are eligible to receive a subsidy of £50 for attending a Maths Feast. Please note that this subsidy only applies if the event is held as a face-to-face event, and not online. Due to our funding arrangements with the DfE, priority will be given to applications from state-funded schools in England but independent schools are welcome to apply.
