Local Leads support mathematics education across their region by acting as a key local point of contact for the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP). They work closely with schools, colleges and partners to understand local needs and help ensure that appropriate AMSP support is accessible.
Local Leads support the delivery of the Higher Level Mathematics Achievement Programme, working in collaboration with the Maths Hubs, and also support the delivery of the Girls’ Progression Programme. They help schools and colleges engage with AMSP opportunities by providing guidance and signposting to relevant support and resources.
Through strong local networks and close links with the national AMSP team, Local Leads contribute to the effective coordination and strategic development of AMSP activity in their area.
