Maths without limits ONLINE (North West) - meet inspirational female role models!

This is an interactive careers event taking place via a Zoom webinar.  Students will get the opportunity to hear from four female guests with different careers.  They will each give a talk on their job role and how maths skills are involved, before taking questions from students via the Q&A.

Teachers please sign up for the event (not students individually) - don't worry if you don't know exact numbers yet. We will then contact you with the Zoom webinar registration details before the event for you and your students to register.

  • To give students the opportunity to interact with inspirational female role models
  • To learn about the skills that are required in their roles
  • To encourage students to consider studying mathematics qualifications beyond GCSE

Who will benefit from attending?

Many girls (who are often strong mathematicians and keen students) choose not to study any mathematics qualifications beyond GCSE.  We hope that this event inspires them to consider doing so!  Teachers please encourage female students to come along to what should be an enlightening and enjoyable event.

The event is targeted at students from Year 9-11, but students from year 7 and 8 are also welcome if their teacher feels that it is appropriate.

Although this event is aimed at girls, boys are also welcome to attend.
