Level 3 Maths Update from the AMSP - Encouraging students to take mathematics qualifications post 16
Overview
The Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP) is hosting online webinars to provide an update on the changes that have taken place in the level 3 mathematics landscape in recent years.
Who will benefit from attending?
This session is suitable for university admissions colleagues.
Content
This session will consider:
- The uptake of Core Maths, A level Mathematics, and A level Further Mathematics
- An overview of the different Core Maths qualifications
- The opportunities offered by Core Maths to increase participation in mathematics post-16 and how it supports students in their transition to university studies across a range of courses (including STEM and wider disciplines)
It will also consider ways that universities can signal encouragement for greater participation in level 3 mathematics and how the AMSP can support universities in relation to level 3 mathematics
