Maths of Money Games

We are pleased to announce that Rob Eastaway will be coming to Teesside to give a talk about the Maths in Money Games.

If you think games are just for fun, then think again.  Games contain some of the most important maths you'll ever need in daily life, from managing money to out-thinking competitors. In this highly interactive talk in which the stakes get ever higher, your students will be on the edge of their seats as they discover the unlikely usefulness of probability, permutations and percentages. And they may even win something.

Rob is the Director of Maths Inspiration and has given many talks across the country, inspiring a generation of upcoming mathematicians. He has written several bestselling books including "Why do Buses come in Threes?" and "Maths on the back of an envelope".  Rob will bring a few books with him which will be available for teachers and students to purchase at a discount.
