What after Year 11?Overview
The Mayfield Teacher Network meet termly to discuss and share best practice in an relaxed setting, or bring in an AMSP speaker to provide training or upskilling on a mutually agreed area of maths teaching.
Content
We offer a warm welcome to Mayfield School, and look forward to being able to meet with you face-to-face again.
In this meeting we will focus on the following discussion points:
- Selling A Level Further Maths to your year 11; what is your intake, what board do you offer, how do you teach it?
- Do you offer Core Maths? If so, how do you deliver it, what is the prior attainment of students who take it, how can we grow the course?
- Do you run internal school competitions as a year group? What is the format, what is the focus, does it have the intended effect?
We are really interested to hear your views and see where we can benefit from mutual collaboration.
