Central Bedfordshire KS5 Teacher Network

Logic and Proof

Overview

Free professional development and the chance to meet other teachers in the area.

Agenda

  • Proof- foundations at KS3/4
  • Resources for teaching proof at KS5 and crucial points
  • Logic and proof in university admissions tests and beyond
  • Advance information for 2022 Summer Exams

Content

We will take proof and logic as our main theme, considering its beginnings in KS3/4, potential pitfalls and resources for KS5 including Further Maths and extensions including university admissions tests.

It will also be a chance to catch up in person (provided restrictions don't prevent this) and we will discuss the advance information for 2022 summer exams which should be available by then.

This meeting will be of particular interest to current teachers of A level maths and further maths. However, all teachers of secondary maths are very welcome.

The meeting will take place face-to-face unless circumstances prevent it, in which case the meeting will take place online. If you personally are unable to attend the meeting in-person and would like to join the face-to-face meeting via Zoom, please let me know.
