Hyperbolic Functions: Differentiation and Integration

Overview

In this follow up session to "Getting Started With Hyperbolic Functions" we shall look at differentiating and integrating hyperbolic functions, looking at common techniques and exam questions. Whilst this session is a follow up session all are free to attend. Some basic knowledge of hyperbolic functions will be necessary to get the most out of this session.

Aims

  • To investigate key techniques involving the differentiation and integration of hyperbolic functions
  • To look at past exam questions on hyperbolic functions

Materials and Equipment

The AMSP uses BigBlueButton (BBB), which is an online conferencing system that allows participants to collaborate in real time. It is easy to use and has features which enable a tutor and participants to communicate live on-line by using audio, video, instant messaging and, if needed, writing on a shared virtual whiteboard.

The session will be remote and will take place on the BigBlueButton platform, as such you will need a laptop/desktop computer or other internet enabled device. 

We will set up the classroom and send you the classroom link, via e-mail, shortly before the session is due to start. 

BBB is designed to be used on a variety of platforms but you will get the best experience via a desktop or laptop computer, running either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as the browser. Note: Internet Explorer and Edge are not suitable currently.

It is advised that you check the requirements to access the online classroom in advance of the live session that you will be attending. You can do this at any time. 

You will need a microphone and headphones/speakers to take engage fully.
