North Kent KS5 NetworkSupporting A level Maths and Further Maths Students
The North Kent Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project providing a forum for teachers of maths in North Kent schools to meet, collaborate and engage in professional development relevant to their own particular needs and challenges.
It is a face-to-face teacher network which meets 3 times a year at Gravesend Grammar School, Church Walk, Gravesend DA12 2PR from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Meetings are a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events.
All teachers, and prospective teachers, of level 3 mathematics are welcome to attend.
This is an informal meeting for teachers of A level Maths and Further Maths to meet, collaborate and share ideas for teaching. It will give teachers the opportunity to dicuss the challenges they are facing, the successes they have achieved and to share some of the reources they have used.
In this North Kent KS5 Network meeting we will discuss how the start of this school year has gone and your plans for the remainder of it:
- What impact has Covid-19 had on student readiness to move on to the next stage of their learning?
- How have you adapted your scheme of learning to deal with the current reality?
- How are you preparing your students for their summer examination?
You are encouraged to bring along any resources you have used successfuly in your A level teaching this year and to be prepared to share them with colleagues.
