Proof, Problem Solving and Modelling in A level Maths Part 3 (Modelling)
OnlineOverview
This course will provide an opportunity for teachers of AS and A level Mathematics to consider how the overarching themes of Proof, Problem Solving and Modelling can be delivered. This session will focus on Modelling.
Although these themes have always been a part of A level Mathematics they now account for a much larger proportion of the marks in the new Assessment Objectives, this was widely recognised as being the most challenging aspects of the new (2017) curriculum. With only one full cohort having experienced formal examination on this specification it is still a relatively new development.
Proof and Problem Solving are covered in parts 1 & 2. The booking links are here: https://amsp.org.uk/events/details/8716 and https://amsp.org.uk/events/details/8717
