Coventry, North Warwickshire and Solihull NetworkReconnecting After an Extraordinary Year
The Coventry, North Warwickshire and Solihull A level Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of A level maths to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. We meet termly and the programme is mainly speaker-led training events and may include informal sessions.
After a year of maternity leave I am keen to reconnect with teachers in the area. This will be a discussion based meeting with a focus on providing an opportunity for teachers to reflect on their achievements in what has been an extraordinary year, to have an update on the AMSP offer and for me to get a sense of local need as we move forward.
Teachers will be asked to come prepared to share the following:
· A challenge you faced and how you overcame it
· Something new you have learnt (have you surprised yourself in any area?)
The meeting will include an opportunity for you to share key considerations and concerns moving forward and I will provide a ‘whistle stop’ tour of the current AMSP national offer.
Materials and Equipment
This meeting will be held on Zoom, an online conferencing system that allows participants to collaborate in real time. An invitation will be sent to you prior to the meeting.
You are advised to use a headset or headphones with an inline microphone to provide the best sound quality and to prevent audio issues for other users. A laptop with a built-in webcam and microphone may be sufficient if you’re in a quiet area but please take the time to check this before the session. Joining with your camera on would be most welcome but, of course, not compulsory.
