An introduction to the Desmos classroom with a focus on creating some simple student activities in the Desmos Classroom

An optional follow-on session will run in the autumn term if you wish to develop these activities further

  • To be able to make lessons in the Desmos Classroom
  • To be able to monitor your pupils' progress through the lesson

Who will benefit from attending?

Suitable for teachers of GCSE, Core Maths and A level Maths or Statistics who are not familiar with using the Desmos classroom to create lessons and monitor students' progress and understanding.

 

Content

  •   A short pre-made lesson for teachers to work through to get the feel for how it works from the student's point of view
  •   Show teachers how to make their own lessons
  •   Allow teachers some time to make a short set of say 3 or 4 slides
  •   Try each other's short lessons to test how it works from the teacher's point of view 
  •   Q & A

Materials and Equipment

The course will be delivered on line, so a secure internet connection and computer or laptop will be required for the session
