Introducing Desmos for GCSE and Beyond

This online session is an ideal opportunity for teachers of mathematics to appreciate the highly engaging ways Desmos Activities interact with students both face to face and remotely.

Natalie Vernon (AMSP’s A Level Maths Professional Development Coordinator) will give an introduction to using Desmos Classroom Activities.

Natalie will guide us through some sample activities and demonstrate how to create and personalise them.

Given the wide range of activities available on Desmos, Natalie will also show us how to “borrow” these from Desmos and adapt them to suit your own needs.

This is an "introduction to" session so no experience of using Desmos will be assumed.  This meeting is ideal for KS3, GCSE or Level 3 Maths teachers.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

The event will be held online and so all teachers wishing to attend should complete the application form so a link can be sent.  There will be a short task to complete in advance which should take roughly 10 minutes; this is so it can be discussed and developed in the session.

  • To provide an opportunity to become familiar with Desmos Activities
