Lincolnshire Teacher Network Meeting
Assessment In A Level MathematicsOverview
This twilight meeting, for teachers of AS and A level Mathematics, will provide an opportunity to look at the Assessment Objectives and some common principles for marking A level examination papers. The session will end with a look at some useful resources to help both classroom and online lesson delivery.
Aims
- To look briefly at the three Assessment Objectives and how they are weighted
- To look at exemplar questions and see how the different types of marks were awarded
- Have an opportunity to assess some students' work and see how the marks were assigned
- Focus on the wording on recent papers which prohibit 'calculator only' solutions
Who will benefit from attending?
This network meeting will benefit all teachers of A level Mathematics irrespective of which exam board you use, who would like to develop their knowledge and practice, in the light of marking and, therefore, seeing common errors made by students on recent examination papers.
Delegates will get a copy of the Presentation and access to a Google Drive link containing all the resources referred to during the session and a lot more!
The meeting will be held online and so all teachers wishing to attend should complete the application form so a link to the meeting can be sent
