Using maths in geography for trainee teachers

This event is part of the Geography and Core Maths Initiative, which is being run in conjunction with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) For further information and resources see

Core Maths focuses on applying maths to solve real-life problems and has been developed with support from employers and Higher Education institutions. In this session we will provide an overview of how it can support the teaching of A level Geography.

This session aims to inform trainee geography teachers of the overlaps between Core Maths and geography whilst highlighting the benefits for students in studying both subjects simultanteously.

Who will benefit from attending?

This session is for geography trainees.

To find out more about our work with other subjects visit our project page.
