WIRRAL / HALTON / CW & C KS5 Network: Online Meeting

Overview

This is an instance of a NW KS5 Network meeting. These meetings are discussion-based, with themes suggested by the participants. The focus is always on any matters related to A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Core Maths. Typically, meetings will contains suggestions for useful pedagogical approaches, interesting and enriching resources, and professional development opportunities. 

Before each meeting, teachers on the registration list will be circulated for thier views on the content of the next meeting. Unlike AMSP / Maths Hub Work Groups, it is not expected that the same teachers will participate each time: every meeting is a stand-along entity to which any registered KS5 mathematics teacher is invited.

Aims

• To facilitate discussion amongst KS5 mathematics teachers in the region on: - Pedagogical issues, - Resources to support teaching, - Professional Development opportunities and requirements.
• To address specific requests for support from the local community of A-Level Mathematics teachers.

Who will benefit from attending?

Content

Each KS5 Network meeting is a stand-alone entity whose content is decided by local mathematics teachers. The theme / focus will be circulated to all teachers registered for the Network by email prior to each meeting.
