Coffee and Pi (Oxfordshire Teacher Network)Working out Strategies for Supporting Students with Longer Exam Questions
Coffee and Pi is a network meeting for teachers in Oxfordshire secondary schools as part of the Oxfordshire Mathematics Community. A post-16 group, funded by AMSP, meets half-termly, allowing teachers of Core Maths and of A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. The programme is planned in response to teacher requests and is a mixture of presentations and discussions. Additionally, an 11-16 group meets half-termly.
This event is for any teachers of A level Maths or Further Maths. The idea is to look at longer exam questions, and work out strategies for supporting students to work through them. There will be questions available for discussion, but participating teachers would gain more from the meeting if they suggested questions in advance.
It will also be an opportunity to catch up with other teachers during these extraordinary times.
The meeting is primarily for teachers from Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire, but other teachers are welcome if there is space.
