Getting a feel for A level MechanicsOnline
The Kent and Medway Maths Conference is an annual event where the AMSP and the Kent and Medway Maths Hub come together to provide outstanding professional development opportunities for teachers of maths in Kent and Medway. The conference is taking place online this year and is running as a series of twilight workshops. This event is one of those workshops.
How do you know when to trust your intuition in A level mechanics, and how do you develop that intuition in the first place? This session will explore ways of enhancing students’ understanding of mechanics through simple modelling tasks, practical activities and demonstrations.

Toby Rome is a National Coordinator for the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme, where his responsibilities include leading the Teaching Mechanics sustained courses.
