Norfolk post-16 Teacher Network

Autumn meeting term 1

Overview

The Norfolk Post-16 Maths Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to share professional development. We meet regularly. The programme is a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events.

Content

This will be a discussion based meeting and a chance to catch up with colleagues and discuss some of the following. Please let me know if there are particular issues you'd like me to include in the discussion.

  • A chance to catch up.
  • Any changes made to the curriculum and teaching in your Maths departments in response to the ‘new normal’
  • OFQUAL changes to the Summer 2021 public examinations or not
  • Any resources that might be useful for the coming year
  • Hub updates
  • Topics/needs for future Network meetings
  • Next meeting
  • AOB

Please send me an email to let me know that you will be attending and if there are any other items you would like me to put on the agenda.

Materials and Equipment

The AMSP uses Big Blue Button (BBB), which is an online conferencing system that allows participants to collaborate in real time.

You are advised to use a headset or headphones with an inline microphone to provide the best sound quality and to prevent audio issues for other users. A laptop with a built-in webcam and microphone may be sufficient if you’re in a quiet area but please take the time to check this before the session. BBB is designed to be used on a variety of platforms but you will get the best experience via a desktop or laptop computer, running either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as the browser.

Note: Internet Explorer and Edge are not suitable currently.
