Nottingham and Derby Online Network Meeting

'Fill the Gap' . Helping A Level students to feel confident in applying their knowledge.

Overview

In this meeting, we will look at ways in which we can help our A Level students who particularly struggled to keep up with their work during lockdown. We will look at inventive ways of revisiting previous principles and building their confidence so that they have a firmer foundation to build upon. We will also discuss assessment and how and when this should take place.

Aims

  • To develop approaches to teaching that engage all students in A level mathematics learning

Who will benefit from attending?

All teachers of mathematics

Content

We will look at possible resources and methods of revisiting principles and content of GCSE for year 12 and first year A Level for year 13 whilst still progressing with the current course.

A discussion will then take place on meaningful assessment with an opportunity to share experience and ideas.

All teachers and leaders of A Level Maths are welcome at this event.
