Kent and Medway Teacher Network

Raising Girl's Participation in Level 3 Maths

Overview

The Kent and Medway Teacher Network is a composite of the 3 teacher networks which normally run in our region and which are expected to return in September 2020. Because it runs in an online classroom, it negates the gegraphical challenges that we would normally encounter with network meetings and allows itself tp be opened up to the whole region. It is an AMSP funded project, allowing teachers of maths to meet, collaborate and to share best practice during this period when our schools are closed.

Content

We know that girls tend to be under-represented in Level 3 maths (Core Maths, A Level Maths and Further Maths) overall.  This session will aim to give you some ideas to help you to encourage girls to consider taking maths beyond GCSE.  Although the ideas are specifically pitched at Girls, many would be equally appropriate for all genders.

Other Information

Do I need to sign up/how do I sign up for the meeting?
YES - Without signing up I can't send you a link to the online classroom.  Use the link on the right to request a place.
