Edexcel Mathematics in Context Source Material Study Day



A day focusing on the interrogation of the 2020 Edexcel Mathematics in Context source material which students are expected to be familiar with for the assessment. Teachers will work together to come up with likely exam scenarios based on the published source materials and discuss how best to prepare students for the exam.

Who will benefit from attending?

Teachers who are currently delivering the Edexcel Mathematics in Context Level 3 Course and who are preparing students for the 2020 examinations. 


Please note: As the source material will not published until the 15th April (at the latest), the details of individual sessions will not be finalised until after  this date. Teachers who sign up to the day will recieve an email with details of sessions before the day. 

Materials and Equipment

A laptop or other internet enabled device will be expected for the day, please also bring a calculator.

Teachers will also need to bring their own copies of the 2020 source materials and any past papers/source material that they might wish to use for comparison.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Mayfield Grammar School, Gravesend is less than a 5 minute walk from Gravesend Railway Station.


This course is free of charge. Schools and colleges located within Priority Areas are eligible to receive a subsidy of £250 to contribute towards costs related to attendance.
