A session of statistics activities for students using content developed for a recent "Introduction to Statistics" PD

Aims

  • To present Statistics as an interesting and engaging topic within A-Level Mathematics
  • To develop students' conceptual thinking using a range of practical, modelling and problem-solving activities

Who will benefit from attending?

Year 12 students who have started, or are about to start, their study of 1st Year A-Level Statistics.

Other Information

Although we strongly encourage teachers to accompany their students to this event, it is permissible for students to attend without a teacher.

The event starts at 12.45pm. Lunch will be provided for all students and teachers who request it on the booking form. Teachers and students may prefer to have lunch at one of the many eating places available at the University and take the opportunity to have a look around the campus.

Refreshments will be provided for all participants mid-afternoon.

The event will finish at 3.45pm.
