Overview

The focus of this session is to provide ideas for embedding a problem-solving culture into A level Maths and Further Maths classrooms, and to provide some ideas about preparing Year 12 students for university entrance exams, with a particular focus on MAT and TMUA.

Aims

  • To provide for embedding problem-solving into the A level Maths and Further Maths classrooms
  • To consider ways to prepare Year 12 students for university entrance exams, with a particular focus on MAT and TMUA

Who will benefit from attending?

  • Teachers who have sent students to Year 12 Problem Solving classes
  • Teachers who have students who may be planning to take either MAT or TMUA (or other entrance exams)
  • Teachers who do not currently have any students preparing to sit university entrance exams, but want to be in a position to help any subsequent students who may want to sit such exams
