Canterbury Teacher Network

Raising Confidence in the Mathematics Classroom

Canterbury Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to engage in professional development. We meet each term with a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events. All teachers of level 3 mathematics are welcome to attend.

The AMSP runs a suite of Raising Confidence courses which have been designed to support different teachers on different days with different aspects of teaching GCSE maths. The courses offered are:

Raising Confidence with Reasoning in the GCSE Classroom

Raising Confidence with problem Solving in the GCSE Classroom

Raising Confidence with Higher Maths in the GCSE Classroom.

This network session will allow you to evaluate the Raising Confidence days to identify which will be of benefit to you/your maths department.

Raising Confidence courses are  free to state-funded schools and colleges.

Schools and colleges located within Priority Areas are eligible to receive a subsidy of £250 to support staff cover and travel costs.
