Leeds KS5 Teacher NetworkReviewing 2019 A Level Maths Papers: what can the examiners reports tell us?
Leeds KS5 Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to share professional development. We meet termly and the programme is a mixture of informal sessions and training events.
This session will look at the Edexcel June 2019 papers and analyse some of the key questions’ performance data, highlighting the common errors reported by the examiners.
The grade distributions will be illustrated for the AS, A-Level and Further Mathematics examinations, as well as sharing and explaining how the grade boundaries were set in June 2019
[Delegates will be given a link at the end of the session to a comprehensive set of resources for the legacy, reformed A-Level and International A-Level Specifications.]
This workshop is led by Pietro Tozzi who has been teaching/training for 35 years and has Head of Department experience.
Pietro has contributed towards the Edexcel/Pearson Training Programme and assisted in the writing of A-Level Schemes of Work (Pure & Mechanics content) for the 2017 Specifications. He also supports and presents at some of the Pearson Collaborative Hubs up and down the country.
Light refreshments will be provided from 3:30pm.
