To look at some key topics on the Further Maths Pure curriculum and to look at curriculum planning 

Aims

  • To deliver teaching ideas and give resources to help deliver the Further Maths Pure content

Who will benefit from attending?

Current teachers of Further Maths 

Teachers with a knowledge of the topics on the Further Maths curriculum who may be delivering Further Maths in the future

Content

Session 1: Complex Numbers and Matrices

Session 2: Differential Equations

Session 3: Problem solving

Session 4: Curriculum Planning

Materials and Equipment

No specialist equipment required although it may be useful to have access to a calculator

It would be useful to bring a copy of the specification and/or schemes of work

Eligibility

Teachers from independent schools may apply but will only be allocated a place if there is room available. State sector schools will be given priority

Cost

This is a free course. Teachers from priority areas will receive a subsidy of £250 per teacher up to a maximum of two teachers per school.
