Chippenham Teacher Network

A level Maths Teaching Approaches - Trigonometry, Hypothesis Testing and Projectiles

Overview

Chippenham Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of maths to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. We meet four times a year and the programme is mainly speaker-led training events and may include informal sessions.

Content

This meeting will be an opportunity for teachers to discuss how they teach certain topics in A level Mathematics.

The topics to be looked at in this session will be

  • Trigonometry
  • Hypothesis Testing
  • Projectiles and Vertical Motion

There is no need for teachers to bring anything to the session, but you may wish to consider how you introduce certain concepts in these topics and any resources you feel are particularly valuable to aid learning.

New and prospective A level teachers are welcome, as well as teachers who are experienced in some or all of the topics.
