Making them think! (Buckinghamshire Teacher Network)

Managing the Transition from year 12 to year 13

Making them think! is a network for teachers in Buckinghamshire schools. It is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of Core Maths and of A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. The programme is planned in response to teacher requests and is currently alternating between sessions focused on Core Maths and sessions on A level Mathematics Further Mathematics. We meet half-termly and sessions are a mixture of presentations and discussion.

A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics Group

With the detachment and demise of AS exams, how do you ensure that your students have fully mastered the skills they need to proceed to the full A level?

We will consider a range of strategies and resources. Please bring your own ideas too.

Sandwich tea provided!

For catering purposes, please let Alexandra Hewitt know if you intend to be there by Monday 6th May, preferably by completing the google form, but if you have difficulties, just send me an email.

The school is doing catering, so please sign up as soon as you can!

We will be starting to plan meetings for next year so come to this meeting to make your requests!
