Year 12/13 Problem Solving Morning at Durham School
This is a one-off event for Durham this year, similar to the series of Year 12/13 Problem Solving events we have run in the past and currently run in Newcastle. We will look at Mathmatical Problem Solving through a set of competition-style questions, collaborative group work, and other problem solving activites.
- Increase confidence in tackling mathematical problems
- Lay foudations for prepations for STEP and similar papers
Who will benefit from attending?
Any Year 12/13 Mathematics student, especially if considering a mathematically based degree course. We would not reccomend this for students who have already attended the Newcastle (Gosforth Academy) course this year as we will use mostly the same materials.
We will look at Mathmatical Problem Solving through a set of competition-style questions, collaborative group work, and other problem solving activites. Details will be revealed on the day!
