Codes and CodingLoughborough
This event is about the history of making and breaking codes, creation of computer coding and much more. It has lots os practical skills for students to engage with. The material is curriculum based but is not the type of activity students would really be exposed to. There will also be a round of problem solving to give a slightly competitive edge to the day. All groups will get a university tour [ with undergrads] and a peak at an undergraduate room.
A real buzz to end term with and get an idea of what maths [Core, A Level, Further] they will need to do in year 12and 13.
Teachers will also get 1 hour CPD on preparing their students for year 12 and 13 maths and how to help them choose which is right for them.
