Making them think! (Buckinghamshire Teacher Network)

Core Mathematics - Managing the Mixed-ability Classroom + Pre-release Material and What to Do with it

Overview

Making them think! is a network for teachers in Buckinghamshire schools. It is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of Core Maths and of A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. The programme is planned in response to teacher requests and is currently alternating between sessions focused on Core Maths and sessions on A level Mathematics Further Mathematics. We meet half-termly and sessions are a mixture of presentations and discussion.

Managing the Mixed-Ability Core Maths Classroom

Bring your issues (and any strategies if you have them!) for discussion - a challenge shared is a challenge halved!

Of course the range of abilities, experiences and interests can be a blessing as well, so please be ready to share the high points too.

Pre-release Material

Sandwich tea provided!

For catering purposes, please let Alexandra Hewitt know if you intend to be there by Monday 1st April, preferably by completing the google form, but if you have difficulties, just send me an email.

The school is doing catering, so please sign up as soon as you can!
