Overview

Student will engage in a variety of interactive revision workshops to help improve their GCSE grade and promote the further study of maths beyond GCSE in a fun and exciting way.

Who will benefit from attending?

This course is designed for Year 11 students with a target grade of 6 or 7. The day is not suitable for students at a secure grade 8 or 9.

Content

  • Trig: Sine and cosine rules - led by Derek Couzens
  • Surds and indices - led by Michael McGuinness
  • Algebra: Turning points and quadratics - led by Su Kler
  • Problem solving: led by Alison Terry

Other Information

Refreshments will be provided for students on arrival and at break time

Students should bring a packed lunch.

It would be very helpful if teachers were able to attend to support and supervise their students.

Eligibility

Students must be studying in a state-funded school or college.
