THIS NETWORK MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT INTEREST.  The next meeting of teh Barking & Dagenham Teacher Network will be on 15 July.  If you would like to volunteer to host this network, please contact James ([email protected]).

-----

This is the first meeting of a new teacher network to support Barking & Dagenham and surrounding areas.  The network is open to all teachers regardless of where you teach/live.  If you would like to host a future network to make it easier for your staff to attend, there is space to indicate this on the booking form.

In this meeting we will start by sharing resources that we have found useful.  Please bring around 15 printed copies and be prepared to talk about the resources for roughly 2 minutes (Why do you like it?  Did it help with a particular misconception? What did your students think?) or perhaps you'll give us the opportunity to have a go?  This resource could be from any area of Secondary Mathematics (KS3, KS4 or Post 16).  Please also email me an electronic copy of the resource in advance of the network so that this can be shared with everyone.  Bring one resources and leave with many!

We'll then split into smaller groups to give chance to network with teachers form other schools.  I'll provide a variety of questions around the transition between KS4 and Post 16 and the structure of courses post 16 for you to consider a few in your small groups and feedback.  If you have any questions that you would particularly like included please email me and let me know.

I'll also include some updates about AMSP activities planned for the summer term and remind you how to find out about the AMSP subsidies available.

Please complete the booking form on the right per attending teacher.
This information will make it easier to sign in, and for me to share information about which exam boards are taught where (which I hope will be useful for networking).

Parking.
Free parking is available in the sports centre next door to the school.  Please don't go to the Lower School Site (Green Lane)!  Arrival for refreshments from 3:30pm for a start at 4pm.

Summer date
The following teacher network will be on 15th July.  The network will move around the borough so if you'd like to host the following network please indicate this on the booking form.
