A day of stimulating mathematical activities for Year 10 students

Who will benefit from attending?

This day is aimed at students in year 10 who are interested in mathematics and may consider studying both Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A level. There will be opportunities to do some mathematics as well as to find out about mathematics and its applications at university and beyond. Please consider how you could ensure that at least half of the students attending are girls.

Other Information

Light refreshments will be provided during the morning and afternoon breaks, but students and staff should bring their own lunch.

Eligibility

This event is for Oxfordshire schools only. Please contact your local Area Coordinator for events in your area. The event is initially limited to 15 students per school, although additional places may become available after 24th May. Independent schools may apply to join a waiting list and will be notified if they have places no later than 7th June.

Cost

The day is free, but schools are required to pay a deposit of £100, which is returnable if the school attends the event. After completing the booking form, please send a deposit by cheque payable to ‘The Mathematical Institute, Oxford University’ to
