North Kent KS5 Network

Mathematics Admission Tests Workshop

Overview

The North Kent KS5 Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, collaborate and to share professional development. We meet four times per yeas and the programme is a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events

Content

Alexandra Hewitt (AMSP Area Coordinator, Bucks and Oxon) will lead a workshop looking at the admission tests that a number of universities require to be sat as part of their application process. She will look at the Mathematics Admission Test (MAT), the Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP) and the Test of Mathematics for University Admissions (TMUA), placing greater emphasis on TMUA because it is the newest of the three.
