Hertfordshire Year 10 Enrichment Day
A day of mathematical activities with the opportunity for students to meet enthusiasts of their own age and older.
The emphasis of the day will be that mathematics can be both fun and challenging.
- To provide students with presentations and activities that stimulate mathematical thinking.
- To allow students to work with mathematicians from other schools.
Who will benefit from attending?
We hope that you will be able to bring a group of up to 16 students who would benefit from the challenge of this event.
In the morning the students will be split in to two groups and everybody will engage in two sixty-minute interactive maths workshops. There will be a final speaker in the afternoon.

Materials and Equipment
For the team practical, students will need to have a pencil, ruler and Casio calculator .
Students should bring their own packed lunch and drinks. Buffet lunch prov ided for teachers and presenters.
A parking permit will be required, please indicate requirements on the google form.
Places are limited to a maximum of 16 per school. Applicants will receive an email to indicate that sufficient places are available. An email will be sent to the senior teacher so that they can confirm that cover has been arranged and places can then be formally allocated.
