Use of GeoGebra in GCSE and A level Mathematics (Intermediate)
A twilight session designed to expand teachers' understanding of GeoGebra, an interactive piece of geometry, algebra, statistics and calculus software. GeoGebra is used by maths teachers across the country, and can help expand your teaching of A level and GCSE Mathematics.
The event will consist of:
- An introduction to using GeoGebra
- How to create basic files for teaching
- Student tasks for using GeoGebra
If you are new to using GeoGebra, it is advised you can attend our beginner's course.
- To improve your skills using GeoGebra in the teaching and learning of GCSE/A level Maths
- To explore activities for student use of GeoGebra and investigating the large data set
- To consider effective strategies for using GeoGebra in the classroom
Who will benefit from attending?
The course is suitable for all teachers of GCSE/A level Mathematics.
For this session, it is assumed you can use basic graphing tools, and you need a laptop with GeoGebra5 installed. This can be downloaded for free.
