Taking Maths Further

Manchester

Overview

Join us for a series of workshops and puzzles by leading mathematics presenters, designed to capture the imagination of students with the potential to progress into post-16 maths courses. The afternoon also features a Dragon Maths competition, a popular way of engaging students with the skills they need to develop for Level 3 Mathematics.

Places are limited to eight students plus one teacher per school or college. We would particularly like to target students with known ability who may be thinking of dropping mathematics – we believe we may be able to change their minds!

Who will benefit from attending?

The day is intended for able Year 11 students who you hope will study maths at AS and A level.

In addition, all sessions are led by inspiring female mathematicians, so this is a great opportunity to convince your Year 11 girls into taking post-16 maths.
