West Norfolk/North Cambridgeshire Teacher Network

Leadership in Mathematics

Overview

The West Norfolk/North Cambridgeshire Mathematics Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing maths teachers to meet, collaborate and to share professional development. We meet three times per year and the programme is a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events.

Agenda

  • Lunch
  • Introductions and a chance to catch up
  • A maths problem or two
  • Vision for the Network
  • Thoughts on the next year

Content

A new network primarily for Heads of Department and Key Stage Leads. This will be an informal discussion and activity based meeting offering a chance to meet and catch up with colleagues, old and new. The aim of this first meeting will be to set out a vision and perhaps a format for future meetings. Areas for discussion could include sharing of information and research, external speakers, local CPD, how to share ideas, good practice and resources or supporting each other. There will also be the opportunity to work collaboratively on and discuss some problems.
