NW Further Maths Pick and Mix PD

Overview

The AMSP in the North West will once again be offering a free series of content-focused online professional development sessions, each lasting around 90 minutes, for teachers and prospective teachers of A Level Further Mathematics during June and July 2022.

There will be twelve sessions, all taking place online (usually from 5:00pm to 6:30pm) under the umbrella theme of a 'Further Maths Pick 'n' Mix'. The sessions cover pure mathematics, problem-solving, mechanics and statistics, and are independent of each other. Sessions covering topics from the second year of the course will assume knowledge of the required AS topics. All the sessions are FREE of charge and you can access as many or as few of them as you wish. Sessions will be led by experienced AMSP Area Co-ordinators and Associates.

The sessions should appeal to both teachers who are relatively new to teaching A level Further Mathematics and to more experienced teachers who would like to refresh their knowledge or broaden their use of activities and teaching ideas.

Eligibility

Open to teachers from state-funded schools and colleges in England and Wales. Priority will be given to teachers from the North West.
