Milton Keynes KS5 Teacher Network
Supporting transition to level 3 courses and beyondOverview
Free professional development and the chance to meet other teachers in the area.
Content
Join us for the final network meeting of the academic year to think about how we will support our students moving from KS4 to KS5 (perhaps also sparing a thought for our A level students moving on to higher education as well). There will be a reminder of the range of free support offered by the AMSP as well as the opportunity to share experiences of taster lessons, induction days, summer work and initial tests. What have been the gaps among students starting Level 3 courses since the disruption caused by the pandemic? Is the coming year likely to be any better following actual exams? What initiatives have proved successful over the last two years and what else might you try this year?
We will also have some input from the Enigma Maths Hub Research and Innovation Workgroup on Transition from KS4 to KS5, both a taster of what was accomplished this year and an invitation to join the group in the coming year.
