Overview
The East Berkshire Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to share professional development. We meet regularly and the programme is a mixture of interactive discussion and speaker-led training events.
The East Berkshire Teacher Network was previously known as the Ranelagh Network and the Edgbarrow Network.
Aims
- Meet with other Mathematics teacher from the local area to share ideas and best practice
- Learn about how graphical calculators can be used to support teaching and learning
- Discuss strategies for embedding technology in your curriculum
Who will benefit from attending?
This event is open to all teachers including HODs and ECTs.
Content
This session will be facilitated by Simon May, Technology Trainer from Casio Calculators.
Learn how to use the fx-CG50 graphing calculator efficiently when investigating the Binomial and Normal statistical distributions. The session will demonstrate the learning potential of the handset by graphing distributions, calculating probabilities and testing hypotheses.
Materials and equipment
Please bring along a model of the calculator currently used in your school.Other information
