Overview

Core Maths Specification Networks are designed to provide you with the opportunity to discuss and share your experiences and develop your practice around the teaching of Core Maths with teachers who are in a similar position to you. This network is for teachers following the AQA 2B Critical Path and Risk Analysis specification.

Who will benefit from attending?

This network is designed for anyone already teaching Core Maths and following the AQA 2B Critical Path and Risk Analysis specification. The networks will be led by participants, and we encourage you to attend if you like to share, discuss and collaborate. Content

The content of the session will be determined by the participants of the network. In the application form you will be asked what you would like to discuss which will support your teaching of L3 Core Maths and these responses will form the basis of the event. We encourage you to attend if you like to share, discuss and collaborate with others.

Materials and equipment

We aim to emulate as much of the ‘face-to-face’ experience as possible and hope that these networks will form supportive communities. Participants should expect to be proactive in communicating during sessions, so the use of microphones is mandatory. Additionally, we also strongly encourage you to attend with a web-cam.

Other information

Teachers joining the network for the first time will be emailed in the days prior to the session and again on the day of the session with a link to the online meeting room. Once you have signed up for the network you will automatically be informed of the date of the next instance as soon as it has been decided so that you will know well in advance of the session.

Eligibility

All current and prospective teachers of Core Maths are eligible for this course, however due to our funding arrangements, priority will be given to teachers in state-funded schools and colleges in England.

Due to the limited space, non-state-funded teachers will be put on a waiting list and contacted approximately two weeks prior to the start of the session if we are able to accommodate them.
